Good morning residents!
I am providing an update to you about my recent activities in our city and throughout District 6.
First, I would like to send my sincere condolences to anyone who has lost a loved one due to the coronavirus. We are currently moving through some very difficult times right now, but I feel very confident we will get through this together as a community.
In terms of community relief, it has been an honor delivering groceries to our seniors, supporting our essential workers and supporting our small businesses.
We will do our best to stay in communication with residents and be a resource as much as possible while our city and district work together to ensure our mutual health and safety.
Local Resources
Here are some important resources you can check out if you or a loved one in our community need some support right now.
Business
If you are a small business owner and you are in need of help with your mortgage or other business related expense please find some helpful links provided by the Small Business Administration:

Housing
I believe housing is a human right and we must protect renters as much as possible doing this time. This is why I spoke on record early on to ensure all renters in Pomona are not displaced doing the coronavirus crisis.
Are you struggling with your rent? Please know the City of Pomona currently has a rent eviction moratorium in place where you cannot get evicted for nonpayment of your rent.
Please find an attached letter created by a local community organizer at our very own Pomona Economic Opportunity Center to assist renters when speaking with their landlords here: (letter template for renters)
Wellness Checks
I will continue to do wellness checks for our most vulnerable residents in our community seniors, youth and children.
If you are in need of any support right now please email me at team@mirandasheffield.com or call me 909-784-5727.
Finally, please check out my website and follow me on social media for more updates.
In Solidarity,
Miranda Sheffield
